We have a Power Point presentation that explains our heritage as the first animal welfare agency established in 1979 before there were shelters in Baldwin County. Today we are very lucky to have multiple animal rescue groups all working toward the same goal of eliminating the number of abused and abandoned pets through spay/neuter, education, rescue and adoption. The slideshow features the milestones in BARC’s major programs: transport and dog adoptions, Kitten Kaboodles, Pawsitive Therapy, spay/neuter and the BARC! Pet Food Pantry. It has volunteer opportunities and the challenges of being the only county-wide animal welfare agency; it concludes with Happy Tails from rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming.
