Glen Lakes Golf Club Fundraiser

Glenlakes Golf Club in Foley concluded their fundraiser for the Baldwin County Humane Society (BARC!)

“The Touchstone Foundation promotion ran from October to December. We are proud we raised $2,000 for rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals” remarked Tony Westervelt, Interim General Manager of Glenlakes Golf Club.

The Touchstone Foundation is comprised of local volunteers who are starter marshalls and player ambassadors. They conducted daily Par 3 contests where golfers donated $5 to hit the green; similutaneously, the Pro Shop had a raffle where a $10 donation to BARC! got people a raffle ticket for a complete set of $2,500 Titleist golf clubs.

On January 8, 2010, the winning ticket was drawn for the Titleist golf clubs. Sonja Presley, BARC! Executive Director, congratulated Tony Penton of Milton, FL. Penton and his wife Linda commented “We are big animal lovers and know how important the work of the Humane Society is.”

Glenlakes Golf Club is conducting a fundraiser for The Baldwin County Humane Society (BARC!) with a $2,000 goal in three months through their Touchstone Foundation.

The Touchstone Foundation is comprised of local volunteers who are starter marshalls and player ambassadors. They have conducted daily Par 3 contests where golfers donate $5 to hit the green.

“The promotion debuted in October 2010 and within a month, we raised $1,000 for rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals” remarked Tony Westervelt, Glenlakes Golf Club Director of Membership and Events. “The Foley community is very passionate about their pets.”

Tim Cahill, General Manager of Glenlakes Golf Club, explained the Pro Shop raffle. “For a $10 donation, you get a raffle ticket for a complete set of $2,500 Titleist golf clubs. The drawing will be held at the end of December 2010.”
