Custom Dog Houses Raffle for BARC!
The Baldwin County Humane Society (BARC!) was given four custom-made dog houses by the Baldwin County Home Builders Association (BCHBA) at their recent Home and Product Showcase.
John Kane, Building Construction teacher for the South Baldwin Center for Technology, estimated there’s $150 in materials and labor in the red dog house with white trim.
Robert Brown with custom builder Pittman-Brown remarked that his chocolate Lab “Ollie” tested the sleepability of the three green dog houses with metal roofs that he donated.
“Fran Druse, BCHBA Executive Vice President, has coordinated the building competition for years. The custom dog houses always look fabulous and we raise a lot of money. We appreciate the time and expertise of the BCHBA ” remarked Sonja Presley, BARC! Executive Director.
The four dog houses are on display in the front yard of the BARC! Office located at 306 Magnolia Avenue in Fairhope. A $2.00 donation enters you to win one; print an entry form and mail it in or bring your donation to the BARC! Office.
Drawing will be held March 31,2011, and the winners will be notified.
